Our journey with the Oosterscheldekering
In the 1980s, DCN participated in the construction of the Oosterscheldekering, the largest project within the Dutch Delta Works and one of the world’s largest storm surge barriers.
This iconic project became a turning point in DCN’s history. The scale and complexity of the Oosterscheldekering project established DCN as a trusted specialist in underwater operations and shaped the development of our underwater dry solution expertise. The knowledge and experience gained here continue to shape the innovative techniques and services we provide today.
Decades later, we continue to carry out inspection, repair and maintenance work on this extraordinary structure, using experience and expertise to help preserve one of the Netherlands’ most important flood defence systems for the future.
