Project

Sheet Pile Removal

This project was executed in partnership with DEME and involved the successful diverless removal of 140 meters of sheet piling at the Exxon site in Bowling, Scotland. DCN Diving deployed a purpose-built diamond wire sawing system to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

The diverless, sensor-operated system functioned as a lifting device with a hydraulic clamping mechanism, enabling controlled handling and precise execution of the works, resulting in a significantly safer and more efficient execution of the project.

Scope of work:

  • Design & engineering of the Diamond Wire Cutting system
  • Fabrication of the system
  • Testing the Sheet Pile Cutter
  • Mobilization at the project
  • Removal of 140-meter of sheet piling
  • Underwater survey of the finished work
  • Demobilization of equipment
  • Provide As-Built survey information to the client
