Project

Enguri Dam

The Enguri Dam, located on the Enguri River in Georgia, is one of the most remarkable hydro-engineering structures in the world. Standing at 271.5 meters, it is the second highest concrete arch dam globally and a critical component of the Enguri Hydroelectric Power Station.

Due to significant sediment buildup in front of the dam, DCN Diving was contracted to deliver a complete dredging solution at a depth of 200 msw.

DCN was responsible for the full scope, including the design, engineering, procurement, and fabrication of a purpose-built dredging system. After successful testing, the system and survey spread were mobilized to site, where the equipment was assembled and operations commenced.

A total of 300,000 m³ of sediment was dredged, supported by continuous survey activities throughout the project. Following completion, final verification surveys were carried out and the project was safely demobilized.
